REPLACING THE JEW - THE ATTEMPT TO REMOVE GOD'S PROMISE TO ISRAEL
An arrest report signed by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy James Mee and posted on the celebrity news Web site TMZ quoted Gibson as saying, "The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world," and asked the arresting officer, "Are you a Jew?" ..........................
This is not the first time Gibson has faced accusations of anti-Semitism. Gibson produced, directed and financed "The Passion of the Christ," which some Jewish leaders said cast Jews as the killers of Jesus. Days before "Passion" was released, Gibson's father, Hutton Gibson, was quoted as saying the Holocaust was mostly "fiction."
The arrest may even rupture the evangelical Christian community, which embraced Gibson's "Passion" but may not forgive the star for drunken driving.
"If he really was drunk, that is wrong for anyone with his visibility, especially with the idea that he is claiming to be a Christian," said Bob Waliszewski, media specialist with the conservative Focus on the Family. "I share the concerns that many people are feeling right now."
Why would Mr. Gibson make such acclaims toward the Jew and the nation of Israel? Basically it is the church's thinking, or a few of the church's thinking, that today's church has taken the place of Israel with God, however, careful study of the scripture will reveal this to be not the case at all.
4 And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD EXODUS 6:4-8
The promise is to honour the word which was given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the second is to bring them into a land called the Promise Land or today's Israel, the third is to redeem them (with an stretched out arm), and the fourth with great judgments. Note that God required that they be perfect, give daily sacrifices, could not miss one service in their temple must do all the works of the law and be perfect - these were nor were there any commands which they must do this was an unconditional act on God's part toward Israel. One of the key words you must remember when thinking of Israel is the word deliver. Moses was called both the lawgiver and the "deliverer" for the actions of bringing the children out of Egypt and bringing them unto the "Promised" land which he himself would not be allowed to enter.
For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. JUDGES 13:5
And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him. JUDGES 13:24
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. JOEL 2:27-32
The deliverance spoken of here is a two-fold ministry first it was to bring in the church of Jesus Christ and second to deliver the promise given to the Jew that great judgments would be executed and through much tribulation Israel would become born again. The first act of bringing in the church has already occurred as in the book of Acts, however, notice the difference in the words which God has chosen pertaining to that of the church.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ACTS 2:16-21
The word used here is "saved" not delivered which is yet to occur for the land and people of Israel, the things which were mentioned in Joel such as the sun turned into darkness, the moon into blood before that great and notable day of the Lord come, has yet to occur. The Lord however did come to "save" the Gentiles and the term "Lord" is spelled with a capital L and small case "ord" which signifies His coming to the earth in human flesh for the advent of the cross. In Joel 2:27 above the name of the LORD is all caps meaning the advent after the cross when Christ would once again become into a glorified state with the Father.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
JOHN 17:3-7
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die. JOHN 12:27-33
5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.
7 Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.
10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
11 And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
12 And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
13 Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. ZECHARIAH 2:5-13
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
